My Makeup 10 Spot

^^WHAT NO TO DO^^

Hahaha. Seriously, though, after lottttts of trial and error...I have settled for a little something like this...

My 10 spot.

1. Skincare setup. I use our Illuminate Clear. Forever. About once every other day. Because it works. Better than anything else I have ever used. Ever.

2. Eye Primer. I used the Mineral Eye Primer I scored with an exclusive Kudos!, so awesome. Just applied it on my eyelids. Definite difference. Staying power for sure.

3. Eyeshadow and brows. I have found brows first, then shadow. Then a little bit more brow if needed to correct, maybe some more highlight color on the brow bone, and so on and so forth. So they have to share a spot on my list. Tip: If you have hooded eyelids, like me, don't use shimmer on the brow bone. It reflects off the darker shadows that help add dimension to our small lids. Use the same color in matte. You're welcome.

4. Thennnn, face primer. I swear by the Glorious Primer on my face. It literally makes your face feel like a cloud. Like you aren't wearing makeup at all! Trust me on that! It also helps create the foundation for the foundation. Just watch out for your eyeshadow. Don't primer it off!

5. Next, the face process. As I mentioned, I start with foundation on my fantastic Powder Puff Brush and sometimes my foundation brush, and evenly cover my face and gently brush over my eye area to take away any flakes floating around. I usually use the foundation brush around the lining of my eye area, for the concealers sake. With my favorite concealer brush ever, and just a bit of the concealer, I fix my blemishes and correct makeup errors. Under my eyes, my upper cheeks, chin and lower jawline, all the highlight areas on a contour map. Blend it well into your skin, working your way outward towards your hairline and jawline. I use blending buds, too. They're pretty sweet.

6. Contouring. Bronzer and blush. These are also sharing a number on my list because they too are a process that sometimes requires going back and forth. But there are lots of great maps for where to contour with your bronzer. And where to apply blush for different effects. I encourage you to just Youtube some techniques, everyone's face is different and there are lots of different effects you can create through contouring. It's actually really cool, not as hard as you would think, really. I use our super versatile blush brush for both of these usually. With the blending buds a bit, too. I like the map below...I like to consider the lightest spots the concealer area, the darker the bronzer area, the pink for blush and then the in between is for foundation topped and blended with mineral powder. Basically.

7. Setting powder. I also recommend the Powder Puff for that. Just a good sweep of my whole face to take care of any last issues. I dab the blending buds where it is needed in the neutral zones. Those things are efficient.

8. Liner. I love liquid liner. Working on that wing technique. Don't be fooled, that is a pain, too! Get a chart. I have one in the maps tab. But, the liner needs to be just about last because it requires a bold defined line. And unless you're trying to tone it down, it shouldn't be covered by anything. Then I line my lower lash line with regular black liner. I am going to be trying different colors pretty soon, though. Time for some color in my life! Use the little blending bud to dab that line a little to blend it into the concealer a little better. All about the blending.

9. Lashes. Like I said, mascara tends to leave a trail behind. Fiberlashes can leave a cool black snowflake residue sometimes, that's kind of a given with those kind. You may have to brush your undereyes with the concealer brush or blending buds one last time, or use the Powder Puff Brush to take off a couple fibers here and there. Struggle is real with those fiberlashes. Oh, and don't forget to curl them first :)

And of course,

10. Lips. That's the finishing touch. The icing on the cake. And depending on the results you're looking for, liners and stains and sticks and glosses are all a team. So last thing for me, usually in the mirror in the visor of my car, is always lips. They may also require a little correction with the concealer brush, but it is a process to perfect them too! A thousand duckfaces later, I still feel lost half the time!

That's it. Not too bad at all. That may not work for everyone's taste, but it seems to be working well for me. Never know.  Give it a shot. If you try it, let me know in the comments how it worked out for you! I'd love some feedback.

Much love y'all!
